View Full Version : Cycling in Cinema...broken?

So I've followed the instructions to the letter on cycling a track in the timeline and what happens is the first key gets copied again and again until it reaches the number of copies you entered and then continues with the animation instead of looping the track. Can anyone confirm that this feature is broken or just poorly documented? What exactly do you have to do to cycle a track?

Thanks!

Which version of C4D?

In R10, select the track(s) and set After to "Repeat".

10.5. You can cycle tracks now, like say you want a motion to happen 4 times in a row, it can be cycled. This happens to me every time I post, I figure out what's happening almost immediately after I post. When it cycles, the last keyframe is replaced by the first keyframe, so if you only have 2 keys, nothing happens until the end, which explains why I wasn't seeing anything happen. It works correctly if you have more than 2 keys. So what do you do if you have a motion with only 2 keys that you only want to repeat or cycle a certain number of times?

I think the fastest way would just be to highlight the two keys in the time slider or dopesheet and hold control (or the mac equivalent) while you drag to make new copies of them.
