View Full Version : Vehicle - Yacht Magazine / Poster
sidewing 05-07-2003, 07:30 PM Yep, Another yacht to fill the ocean...
http://www.virtuegraphics.com/bit2.jpg
This image was created for a yachting magazine (ad) and poster design. The Ocean is a little exaggerated high at the horizon to illustrate the effect of stabilizers when used on the ocean.
The text above the ad will read: "Quantum paves the way for superior motion control".
The yacht is a "Mulder Octopussy".

the Clouds look off to me, never really seen clouds like that.
I'd say haze the background a bit and possibly add some islands in the distance.
the rough water honestly looks way to shiny and just looks too fake. Also with how the smooth and rought water blend bothers me. i'd be tempted to try a sort of parting of the seas look.
That's all I can think of for the moment. This has potental.

I dont't like the water at all. It just looks like a picture of a sea, with a picture of slow running water in the middle . Very weird. It's not convincing enough. The idea is pretty good though

Thanks for the remarks. I appreciate the feadback a lot.
Please note that it is not supposed to look real. It is for a comercial to exaggerate the effect.
Thanks

Will it be an animated commercial in the future or will it stay like this
It looks very nice, but I don't think the idea is obvious enough. Maybe try to play with the weather a bit, like rain and dark clouds but in the middle where the yaught is going it's nice sunny weather.

It will indeed stay like this. It is only used for a magazine and brochure (and or poster) one time. No animation what so ever.
Sorry you don't like it...
