***OLD POST***

Greetings,

here are some concepts I'm brewing up for the upcoming war. I have number of ideas for different classes, so for now I'll present my warlord concepts. A brief overview of the character:

Agnim, the fire lord - One of the four elemental lords of his world who has crossed the gate to acquire the hidden powers of technology, with the aid of his fire artifact weapon- the Ifrit's Spine. His ferociousness in the battlefield is only matched by his constant bloodlust.

Design note: For this class I wanted a tough, agile, battle hardened character. Early on I narrowed the direction down to a T-rex-humanoid type, to push the concept of the predator who hunt down his foes without mercy.

and here are some color/design studies

Please feel free to leave a comment on which design seem to work better. I'll probably end up combining the elements from each for the final design.

The second one looks to be the most badass for me. I really like them all, and I like your rough style. Maybe you should try "playing" with other dinossaur heads too, there are many interesting options around, but for your sketches, till now, I choose number 2. That my opinion. See ya.

Im doing an invoker dragon so I kind of consider this guy family or at least from the same planet, great character man the armor and the axe are great but the second one with the shield and small axe reminds me that dino from soulcalibur too much, anyway nice colors good luck man.

Beautiful work - great drawing style! Of the 3, I think #1 works the least well: The armor is so alrge on him that it feels like a dino-head was pasted on some otehr guy's armor. Given that you're usign a fairly accurate dinosaur head but not a traditional body proportion, it might be more effective to choose an armor style which fits better and hilights the proportion choices you've made, to amke them look intentional and not accidental. So for me, #2 works best (even though the pose is the least dynamic of the three.) I also like his weapon and shild the best on #2.

Anyhow, great work so far. good luck with the rest of it!

More beautiful designs! Although I have to say that the latest one is my least favorite of the bunch. That's because there feels like there's a big mismatch between the scale of the top and bottom halves. In otherwords: He's bottom heavy. The huge plates at the base of the tail especilly feel like they would drag him down. I like their design (I also liked the plates on the tail of the original #3) but maybe a sronger, meatier torso and head would work better on this set of legs-'n-tail. But anyhow, all lovely designs and great coloring. Looking forward to seeing what you end up sticking with!

Hi,
nice character! Love the dino-approach. Don't like the weapon though, sorry. It's way to 'world-of-warcrafty' You can do better then that!
curious to see where this one is going! keep up the good work!
