Thankie bro...hehe

ermm...initial thoughts :

Neo-Chimps and Dolphins visually are challenging to be portrayed as 'aliens' coz it is visually familiar to us. The form, textures and everything is recognisable. But if I were to stick with it, (which i dunno yet) it can be a challenge to 'alienate' the form and anatomy especially to make it believable that this 'alien' was actually derived or engineered from Chimps or Dolphins.

Some study of the texture and anatomy. So tempting to do a stainless steel, syd mead-like form, it'll give it a very futuristic look to it fer sure.

Texture contrast can be done by perhaps putting some sort of rubber trims on a (humanoid?) form of dolphins....as an apparels or accessories...costumes, gear...etc.

Just remember how dolphins bend, up and down. Every person I've seen design equipment for dolphinsmakes the back thick and long and inflexible. Even Jim Burns equipment on te cover of Startide Rising looks like a dolphin couldn't move in it.

When I did pieces for "Contacting Aliens" it was one point that I made sure was there, but the illustrations were so small I doubt they were noticed.

Relations.....between god and its creation....its a two distinct realm...yet captured by michelangelo with grace and emotion. Im looking at having the same impact in potraying the alien-human relation

Its difficult to intrude the natural form of the dolphins without destroying its beauty.

Very tricky.
