Title: Coca-Cola can test
Name: Brett Simms
Country: Canada
Software: 3ds max, BodyPaint, Photoshop, VRay, ZBrush
This image was done as a test for me for Vray (recently bought and so far I'm loving it!).
Can was modeled by my associate Jim Dunk, sweat drops are Vray displacement of drops sculpted in Zbrush. Maps, the drops on the ground, background, and post work are all Photoshop.
C&C welcomed - thanks for taking a look.

It looks amazing. The droplets are what makes this picture for me. One critque though, the top of the can seems to be too mirror-like when it should be more of a brushed aluminum, or It maybe be just me. Other then that, it looks really good.
Congrats!:applause:

Very nice image Brett. I like the clarity of the overall image, but I do think it makes it look a bit CG, if you were going for a realistic look.
Great as usual.

Ah...Amazing.

I hope the forums put this on the front page where it belongs.

Thanks Odhinn, Jason, and Jered - appreciate the positive feedback.
Odhinn: Thanks for that bro - although I don't think it's quite there for front page stuff!
Jason: I was going more stylized for sure here. Most of my work involves retouching photos and often pushing the look into something beyond just "real" so I am never wildly concerned about that. I also tend to like images that walk a fine line between illustration and photography - but I am not good enough to always walk the line as well as I would like :) At the end of the day I like to produce images that are interesting first and foremost - that was more my goal here in any case. Think it went too far?

Sweet! this is so pretty. and it makes me thirsty! :D great work again, those drops of water and the vibrant colors makes it stand out in a good way.

Thanks Max, koolnits, and Sauron!
I've had a bit of feedback about that background, and while I agree it's not photo-real I still kind of like it :)

Well, in that case, I think you achieved your goal on this one! It definitely has that illustrative vibrant feel to it.

The can looks cold and refreshing!
Nice work with Vray.
Any chance of rendering it with Maxwell?
Great job.

Very nice Brett, it reminds of the kind of stylized photos that are on your website. Great stuff!

Thanks far, Killian, Brian, and again Jason!
Brian: I could do it in Maxwell for sure - and I haved tested this can in both Mental Ray and Fry already, but right now I'm focusing on getting a handle on Vray.
