Hey guys.
I was wondering if it is possible to have blendshapes works across multiple scenes in maya?
What I want is to have a seperate rig for the face, which will be set up on a duplicate mesh, which is being driven by a blendshape of the main rig. I know this works already in the one scene, but I want to have that duplicate mesh (with the facial rig) in a completely separate and clean scene. (basically to reduce lag).
I tried exporting the mesh, with the working blendshape, but when i imported it into a new scene, it brought the original rig with it as well, totally defeating the point.
also, if it makes a difference, the original rig will be animated on. So the blendshape will be moving. If it is possible to have objects be driven by blendshapes in another scene, does it take the information over time too?
Thanks in advanced for any help =)
