View Full Version : Zbrush 3 Newbie needs help!

I'm a sculpture and not very computer smart and I'm have trouble understanding the basics to the program. I've switched out of the edit mode on my object to the eraser brush (in the tool menu on the top right of screen). How do I switch back to edit? the edit button is always grayed out after I do this switch. Please help me! Thank you!

once you drop a model to the canvas by switching out of edit mode and you use another tool. You wont be able to switch back to your model.

The way to get your model back is to go into the tool pallette and find it and than draw it again to the canvas and select edit also clear you canvas with Ctrl+n

Now you will be able to edit your model again.


The way it works is zbrush works in 2.5 and 3d so when you drop something it stores the depth information to the canvas in a way when it says switch it's asking you if you want to work in 2.5d instead of 3d.

You have your 2.5d tools and your 3d tools in order to sculpt you need to use brushes and such not different tools.
