Ah now I see it.
Well, the material needs work.
looks like porcelain.
First there isn't much in your scene to reflect.
Second try to get more contrast.
I see a white stipe on the car, from a light? But the Scene is white...so that light have to be very bright.
Also add a reflection falloff to your material. Fresnel Effect! May there is a shade inside max? I tried it with a falloff the last time (in max5) worked fine :)
okay, any question? ;)

very nice. :applause:
could you post a wireframe?
Also, explain a little more about what you mean
by "modeled with splines". Did you use Surface Modifier?

Yeh, I did use the surface modifier. I find it the easiest way to model.

looks really nice, love the rendering and such.
I could be wrong but the fin seems to be way too tall, thus the seat is also too tall. Also the slant of the window seems to be off for any race car. show me some blue prints and I will believe :)
overall very well done

Oops looks like you got a bit too close to this in places..front in most pictures .. and your blueprint ....is a lot flatter, squarer, fin should be higher at the back, side fastenings are wrong....do a google search.. and the holes in the wheels should be smaller and more on the round of the hub...otherwise wel on its way. :)
