Title: The Starcraft Marine
Name: Choul Woong Yeon
Country: Korea (South)
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop, ZBrush

Hi~ This is already third time that I upload my Artwork onto CGsociety gallery.
This time, I made high and low resolusion human and protection suit of Starcraft Marine. High resolusion is about 150,000 polygons and low resolusion is about 12,000 polygons. Comments are absolutely welcome~.

If there is anyone who wants to see more images about this, visit www.graphicmachine.net.

Have a good day~.

wow, fine texture work and modeling
only two things:
-the human inside looks a little bit too skinny (or to small),
-the thingies on the backside of the boots look very clean in comparison with the rest of the armor.

do you plan crating an animation with it?

Well, I agree with you. Actually, I have been trying to figure out reasonable size for human and his protections in Starcraft II Promotion Video while I was making character. Frankly speaking, I still don't get the reasonable size of marine because in some ways, size of body and protection does not make any sense. Like If I am going to make him taller, than his arms and legs will be broken everytime marine moves. It is complicated :)

I'm not that good at creating animations, but I should try to creat the animations for this one as I do have some more stuff like background, enemy, and etc..,

Thanks for your advice.

Damn dawg I love what you did with the texture mapping.
It's gangsta dude. Love the whole lil' rusty combat suit thing going' on.
As a matter of fact, I love Starcraft the game, heard the sequel is gonn' be released soon.
Keep at it dawg. Job well done :)

Good work. Regarding the size of the guy inside. I was thinking along the lines of the aliens machine that Ripley gets into..the loader. I guess the suit could have raised sections inside that the arms and legs bolt into. Just an idea :)
