From the sketch, I think the king is look great, unless his wand that maybe too normal? for a considered that he is a king of the flowers, cheers!

Well Hi Everybody! I have new post to have decisions about witch path of elementals I shall take!

The 1sth, was The Flower King- whom will control the wood and plants element, His power will be by biological weapons, meaning he will use pollen, seed, and colors of petals to produce different effects on the machines, one of them will be turn anything he touch with out movement into a plant ….so he needs seed and so to make them stay still.

The 2nd , The Wind Sorceress, Her power to create wind, and electricity, by the use of her wings and movements, I gave her also and strong eagle wrap with her hands witch can carry lots of weight , and also the big antennas serves as a way to canalize electric energy from far.

The 3rd, The Fire Guardian, He has different color of flame each one able to do or undo different status, blue fire, disintegrates mostly all magic, purple fire; has transfiguration proposes, red fire; protects and gold fire; gives immunity for time to the character.

The 4th, and final one to chose, will be The Sea Witch, she will be blind but in exchange for that she will have several eyes all over her oceanic body, I chose the eyes for the witch since it is the only part form our body that its able to capture light, and she can also see all over the waters, she can absorb the light form water’s reflection and magnify it in the way she chose as water element magic.

Hey Axel, really cool concepts and sketches for the elements! and like the descriptions for each one, nice!!. Really difficult to take a decision about what character yo need to develop, all are great. Mmmm... my vote goes for the Sea Witch :D I think she have many posibilities for a great magic character, and now yo can make a great work with she :) (and yo can work with the other characteres in a futre, because are a really nice characteres). I like girl desigs and I also think you are better at it, so I'd go for any of the ladies, the sea witch has this awesome headpiece, and I like it, but the general design of the wind sorceress is cool too....
mmmm Ok, I thik if I was you I'd go for the withch. the reasons:

-Many eyes (lots of fun to paint)

-Underwater enviroment! not very crucial in the contest, but you can represent spells and all that in a better way than wind, I think.

-Crabby textures. Icky goodness...

it's up to you, but there's my two cents. Great to see you hopped into the battle!

Last but not Least! some concept and leg studies for the Sea Witch, I wasn't sure if add her or not in her legs besides the jelly fish , also some fins, so I went all crazy and add them as well...
The front concept of here, mainly was to experiment with her head and skin tone over some other blue water tone...just to see how will she look but I will stay with the other head arrangement witch I will upload tomorrow! Thanks guys! Any comments please do let your self go crazy!:buttrock:

Boy, you've been at it! Lots of new stuff, for the pets I like 2, 3, and 6, and about the witch I like her, but maybe those new empty spaces on her headpiece loose something of what made her look cool in the first one, the fish shapes at the sides are good. but now I see it too light.
Anyway I trust your eye for these things, you go crazy with it :D

I made her back! Just to understand better the way that the shapes and silhouette will show ho she may look in the back, since she most look as she can see anywhere since its her source of power after all!

In the second concept I did a full body study, so I can understand better her power and outfit also to practise better all what I am doing in her model sheet ... So I think she looks a bit more close to understanding of what she can do?

I think that the arms on your pose sketche are a bith shorter in realtion of the body, but i like that pose and the face of Reshia. The outfit its simply great. Now sweriously, It's great that your taking care of the back already, and she looks really cool from that view too, her back stare is just creepy!
the proportions on the full body concept are a little strange, maybe it's just the arms. You could lower her right elbow so that arm's position can read better, the left one is fully visible and then I can tell you it's just way too short.
The foot fins are awesome, I like how they would extend and unfold as she swims.

i think for the color thumbs, you can desaturate warm colors or cool colors..then the other colors would pop up more..now all saturated colors are vibrating and fighting..maybe im wrong..haha

You're doing a great work Axel, the concepts look great together, and I like the flaring eyes idea, would look great underwater...

The color test is good, it really resembles the colorfull reefs, but maybe it gets a little too heavy for the eyes :D I mean that the design is already very rich in detail, so you could actually use fewer or less contrasting colors and it would still look great, you could stay with warms in all the gear ( the team colors,) and maybe a lighter and less saturated blue for the skin, in fact her skin could be more pale and all the rest of the costume would compensate that.

Yesterday a wrote my opinion about the backround, and I cant explain what happend? :cry:

Then ones again:
I told why about the backrounds you dont use Ruins, piramids Ruins, because the ancients civilizations construct it like an astronomy centers, and so many ruins follows on the ocean, so it wiill be more coherent if your characters have the really construction of that age.
About ORESHIA we are talking about 17,000 years ago is the last track we had about this civilization. Soooo use your excelent imagination and draw the true.

I could not gived my opinion about ORESHIA positions. but my favorite is the second one on the right, she have a beautifull curvs form, sofly, powerfull and with complete dominio.

You are soo ORIGINAL, elegant, sutil, magnanimus, with an eceptional concept art design....very very different than others designers, who only deform the form and something like a copy paste from other designers to draw their concepts. Baaa thats not original.

Alright so this is it the back ground will have the ancient ruins from were she will intend to recover some of the lost science that those evil aliens have! So that's a bit of the history that inspires me to have that! and for the pose of her well the sketch its done and so the robots that she its destroying made look a bit aquatic tech , so they can offer some challenge to the powerful all seen, witch Oreshia!:wip:

I don't really remember any other entries that's so water-theme like in our forum, would certainly be nice to see this finished! :) The colors will really play a big part in the whole of the picture.

The drawing looks real good buddy but maybe her position is a bit too horizontal, you cold rotate the canvas -90 and it would look good too:D, what I mean is that your ruff sketch of it had her in a more diagonal position and the arc of her body worked better, I also feel like she's having to flex her legs to fit inside the canvas, I think a swimming pose like that would look more fluid with extended legs bending back just enough to follow the arc of her body, you can fix that with some editing so it's no big deal :D

Nice! I agree with SteevieWoo about the rotation. Also makesure with the colors that you focus on her head, cause the lines now lead the eye to her stomache. Just a detail :)

well that's not quite what i meant, my point was that she was so horizontal you could turn the whole image and it could look like a good composition (it looks good but you better take whatever direction you prefer). I say use the original orientation, just rotate the witch a bit so she'll look more like your first color sketch of the composition, and so her head doesent look like going in a downward direction.
This is a mess... I hope you can understand smenthing from all this babble... it's really late now....

SO :p......I changed the entire robot’s concept, looking at her from her back and front side, since she can see them all! , and also I flip her to get a better wide body view, I hope this works best...also the bridge in the bg I think works good for the focal point in her, and I don’t know if I should do so many light sources out from the eyes of her armour? What you guys think?:shrug:

I would suggest that you pont the two main 'eye bems' (the ones right above her human eyes) in a similar direction, right now one is pointing up and the other pointing down.

On your last post, i think you can blur off or make the foreground creature less detailed so that Oreshia remains the focal point. By that i meant maybe you could lower the contrast, desaturate it, or something of the sort?

I had been looking the entire contestant’s work, and my favourite is you definitely.

The render of your skin tones, were achieved very nice, it is difficult to paint so many details and textures, bur you have done this excellent as well. I like how the light is coming and love specially the jelly fish on her legs. All the personality of her design it’s aquatic and yet mystical. I think you feel very comfortable in this style, and it does as I said before, pops out from the rest.
