Hmmmmm first of all your reel is super long! The work was well done, however. You made some really trippy visuals! My only suggestion is to make more practical vfx rather than just cool looking lava lamp kinda stuff. More composites into video or other 3d aplications help a lot because employers see that you can make vfx FOR something, and not just to make them. Also either make your name bigger at the beginning of the reel, or use that clip at the end. That one rocked ;) Good stuff dude!

I loved the "trippy" stuff.:p
The city blowing up was one of my favorites.

@mistasam02: You are right about adding more video composites. My goal was to show the effects I was capable of creating but I guess it makes more sense to have them all integrated in live footage or video. Thanks for the heads-up.

@skat3for71f3: The city blow up is my favorite too. I had wanted to create even more and smaller debris but the Maya scene was getting really heavy, so I came up with this.

Your reel is very solid, I really liked your particle and fluid simulations, well done.

Take care,

Thanks EnergyMachine, I love designing websites. It's what I do when I am not working on Maya.

Thanks Canadianboy, most of the particle stuff was done with After Effects plugins such as Trapcode. I will try and cut down on the length of the camera shots too.
