CGTalk - animation: Traffic

Hey everyone. I finished this short a few months ago and thought I'd show it to you all. Tell me what you think!

it was done over a 8 week period for a character animation class, using maya 4.

nice

reminds me of a pink panther episode where he is trying to cross the road

less blood in that though

would have been better if he didnt just wander into the road

maybe the dog could have mooched across safely

could have played on that a bit

or when the crossing goes green...he starts to walk...traffic stops to let him cross.....and then the traffic light falls over and crushes him

irony?

I was originally planning for the dog to wander into the street and get run over so the guy goes into the street distraught about his dog and tries to pick it up and then gets run over... but I was running out of time for the class so I tried to speed things up a bit and came up with this version.

It's pretty straightforward but the execution is perfect.

The blood on the camera was brilliant :D.
