hey there, i've been getting some good feedback from friends on this walk cycle that i've been working on, but i would like to know what y'all over here think... okay to go? or does he need more keyframe/curve-editor love?

still have some rigging to complete (his armour and clothing) so since that hasn't been completed, i just hid them.

(i kinda needed a break from that but didn't want to be un-productive so, animation ahoy.)

Here's the link to the other post that details the non-animation related bits.

update. pushed some of the motion a little more, added some more dip in the hips and pushed the shoulders forward a bit as well as massaged the offset for the tail. also fixed up the feet (there was a slow out when it should have been straight forward as it slides across the ground.)

You have some nice attitude on the upper body. I would take a second pass at the feet, especially the foot roll and heel, maybe tone them down.

hi!

How about a lil bit of secondary action on the fingers to bring them into the equation, and he doesn't seem to shift his weight according to his body mass much. but other than that i think it's really cool :)

did u model it too?

heres my thoughts, i think the hips starts dipping too early, he's highest point on the hips usually is a few frames before contact frame (and lowest a few frames after).
i don't like the bend knees, try to have them completly straighten for atleast 2 frames before hitting contact wich also should have stright legs.

maybe exaggerate the twisting of the hips and spine abit they seem abit stiff to me.
also exaggerate the the spine followtru from the hips, u know after the hips dips down the spine bends forward and after that the head comes down.

exaggerate the arms and make more of an arc motion.

its a good start, good luck =)

hey good start ..! look nice ..
just one point .. look some stiffness in legs and arms area ..bcoz of its movements .. try to add slight bend and strech in legs . legs looks stuck inbetween ... and remove extra frames from there ..

i hope this info is useful ...

skinning is very nice ..
good work ..!

Allright, Thank you Very much for all the stellar advise! here's what i have been able to work on with the suggestions i've recieved. after doing all this i must say, however, that i really truly do respect what y'all whom do this daily go through. it's been a challenge thus far (my main focus is more rigging, so understandably, my animation skills aren't as polished as i'd like but if i'm going to showcase this rig, i might as well put as much effort into the animations as i did in the rig itself.)
