View Full Version : hard surface texturing
brender 03-14-2008, 07:51 PM when texturing a hard surface like a building would you unwrap it and simply put a photo of the texture you want on it and play with the shaders till it looks right?

In a very,very broad sense - yes.
In detail - no.
A material is defined by many parameters. Simply applying a photo texture doesn't cut the cake.

I don't know, use the search function or google and look for some texture paint tutorials.
I barely know Blender, but I'm dead sure that the principles apply there too.
