jswanson 03-13-2008, 11:18 PM Hi Folks - newbie here. This is a short little piece I did for kicks - it's my first project attempting to composite 3D animation into live footage.

Pretty good for your first go. You should deffinately progress your skills.

Heheh...nice one, nice idea.
personal C&C
Your tentacles looks too flat to me and I think your texture need a bit more details.
a little more work on lighting the tentacles will help them too.
I would add details to the ejection animation too...it's a bit stif..actually...now that I watch it again..it looks like the video is running strange at the end...
For a first go..well it's very encouraging, good job, take a break, check 2-3 composites from others, read the C&C that will come shortly and you're ready to set a new level.
Keep it up, I want to see the next stage :) .
Hal.
