View Full Version : Help: UV mapping in Maya

Hey guys and ladies, I am a long time 3Ds max user and I just recently moved to maya, due to the fact that I have been turned down for jobs because I lack the knowledge of Maya. Well I have decided to change that... I have gotten pretty good at modeling in maya but I don't have a clue on UV texturing mapping... Does anyone know a good tutorial they point me to? :D

Thanks Sheep Factory does anyone else have one so I can learn a couple of ways to find which way best fits me :beer:

Check out the tutorials under the texturing forum. Quite a bit of uv tutorials there.

I think this one on the AW website is very helpful for understanding the process of using the UV tool sin Maya ..

LOL.. yeah I think somebody posted this in the Maya tutorial links but I'm not sure.... the screwed up thing is that they di dnot include this in the list of how-tos on the website.. it's only in the Maya PLE section.. I dunno the AW website is starting to get a little confusing on the ole navigation of things.
