View Full Version : Twisted Furniture
Cris-Palomino 05-06-2003, 08:24 PM We have a group of friends, all of us artists, who meet online nightly to work and discuss art and 3D and show our latest work. We are presently doing a group challenge where we are all doing twisted endings to well-known fairytales. Once we all have 2 pieces each in the gallery we're putting together, we'll present it to the public. Everyone is using whatever they want to do their images in.
I am presently doing a Rapunzel piece and started creating some of the furniture for the Tower Room.
This is one of the torches and the window chaise.

The figures are presently from Poser as my skills are not up to making the human form yet, but the manacles, hair, etc. are created on the figure in C4D.
This is the rough of the idea for the image.

Thanks for taking a look.

for a second I thought they were photos from some sort of bizarre furniture catalogue, interesting ideas :)
the second one looks like could actually be built, possibly some sort of cast iron garden seat

Thank you for the comments. We are actually inquiring about possible manufacturing on a line of these pieces, as a matter of fact, due to the reactions of people when they see these.
Thanks,
Cris

fantastic....
this is very art deco...(bit more erotic bottom one..but hey)
material on top one looks like from that period...
but the bottom one looks more like a black plastic...from say 60's. might be lighting.
i love the hair on top model...very funky...will a light go in the top...is it a wall hanging...dunno i'll wait and see....
keep posting...wanna see how it turns out....also when you guys finish be sure to post here...and keep us informed.

Well, yes. But it is also one of the markets I'm looking at...a bit more esoteric.
They were also made primarily for my image...which is in that genre.

Thank you.
Adam, the credit for that particular material goes to one of my best friends, Mary Dell. She created this bronze patina and it is one of my favorite shaders.
I will send your compliment.
Thanks,
Cris
