A friend of mine saw a couple renders, and liked what he saw, he wants to give c4d a go...he has been using Wings for a while and wants to get into a serious application. So he went truckin around...got the demo and loves it...now he wants to buy...but hes thinking of sticking to XL7 as he wants good features but doesnt have the cash for the bundle or studio versions of R8 (and he doesnt want the student version...1. hes not a student and 2...he wants to sell work i guess)

So anyways, i heard someone mention that maxon themselves actually is selling XL7 at a cheap price, is this true? If so any links or anything? Thanks a whole bunch.

they were selling it as of a few weeks ago, but you have to ASK about it there's nothing on their web site.
