Hi all,

I would like to know what shader(in maya) do we apply for a concrete wall?
I had a Blinn shader on the wall and some suggested to use Phong E instead and not Blinn.
any suggestion!

Thanks in Advance.

Making good concrete will be less about the shader and more about good texture maps. Concrete tends to be pretty rough with a slight shine (usually from sealant placed ontop of the concrete). So either a Blinn or Phong should be fine, make your highlight not very intense but large (so a large value for Eccentricity and a low value for rolloff). Then go out and get some good photos of real concrete, make those photos tilable, and apply them as a bump and color map to your material. Then you should be good to go.
