Thats very nice!

How did you model the snowy landscape? Is it a displacement map?

The cracks in the ice are brilliant.

Awesome, that second pic looks like a starwars bluescreen set, I half expect Ewan Mcgregor to fly past on wires and George Lucas to walk into frame any second;)

i really like it...but its a bit too blurred..at least i think so...just a bit less so we can see some details...but i do like it nevertheless

It's very good..

What is it rendered in? The cracks in the ice look very good, like the material carries light, like some sort of sss..

Maybe i'm wrong.

Actually, I found something that bothers me slightly about the picture... (heh i have been sat here staring at the picture for about 5 minutes before i noticed it though)

The icicles look transparent.. but they don't look like refract the light properly.. Thus it makes them look slightly flat..

yes ice is not easy, and they are very small in my screen... It's hard at this distance..
The rendering is Vray on 3dsmax...
Thinks for u critics... I do better next time:)

And yeah for the bleu screen... it's pretty fun:)

WOW! Love this one, the wireframe only tops it! I mean, without the wireframe (and the shaded view) one could think that the bg is some good integrated photo, but this is ... stunning.

I can really imagine this oil refinery or what it is supposed to be, somewhere in russia, the pipelines with all the oil in it, short before bursting because they are from the pre-war area ;) somethin like that

keep on going, really like your style

if the iceicles would bend the light and cuase cuastics it would help ALOT... other then that its pretty damn good :D

U right, but caustic is to expensive in rendering, then I put off :(

I agree, you need to play around with the iceicles, then I think this piece will be perfect. In fact, I dont think the geometry of the ice-icles is right for this scene, they seem too wide at the base, like upside-down mountians. I think they should look more like tubes hanging down that come to points, and you should def. throw some refractivity/reflectivity onto them. Great stuff, I like it a lot.

I like it a lot, but the slanted camera angle doesn't sit well with me.

looks awesome, love the displacement and textures! :applause:
Some of the edges look a bit sharp imho, perhaps round off the sharp edges very slightly on like the metal stands and hexagonal parts ? ;)

The snow is simple... The material is use, is just a self illumination white material with a cellular bump :scream:
