I decided to model a "buggy". Please let me know what you think. I have remodeled the front tires like you would usually see on a buggy, I have made them smaller, with a different tred design. Thanks,
Brian

BTW I have about 9 hrs invested right now in this model.

Looks cool so far, and functional..though isn't the gun perilously close to the wheels? I'd move those out, bad things could happen that way :) Seems like the traverse on the rear wheels might run into the fins in back also. Maybe a full-on 'knobby' tred for the tyres might be cool?

Keep em coming..

I have fixed the front wheel issue, I agree, so I made them much smaller, and thiner. I have also raised the car to help the fron and back tires. I was wondering if I should put Knobby tires on the back or not, because I was afraid I would make it look like a RC car instead of a full size car, but I think its still a good idea, I might do that still. Thanks for the reply! I will post an update when I can render it again. THanks,
Brian

That's great, always wanted to model a buggy myself, i will after i finish the SubWay Bedroom, ehehehe
I agree with Hypercube, the gun next to the front wheels will blow up everything 'cause those wheels are meant to turn, right?

Really love the design on the buggy, man, i really love it, nice texture details, i love the dirt, really well done
After the army car we couldn't expect less :o)

Try and post more renders from different POVs please, i know it takes some time but you could render in flat shade, we just want to know if the geometry looks funcional

well, I would like to post an image of it with just a flat shader, but I left the file at home, and I am at work right now. I will post it later on this evening when I get home tonight. This is really the only other angle I have right now here at work, and its not really up to date, sorry, i will post a better pic of the most recent version tonight. Thanks for your replies,

here is another view, I was throwing some ideas around in my head, the wheel design is not something that I am going for on this render, it was just a test, but at least it is another view of it. THanks!

Nice model.

I like the last wheels better.
The only thing I don't see the use off are the 3 fins behind the gun.
Perhaps connecting both sides would make it more usefull.
That way, it could be protection for the engine.

thats a sweet crazy idea, I would think about getting them cannons out past the front tires,, like a longer barrel,, and maybe have the rear tires do all the turning and what not,, maybe like on them backhoe things, those arms that fold out to brace the baby when firing. but I do like the big rear tires, nice tire tred by the way. :scream:

cool stuff that I'll keep an eye on. :bounce:
