View Full Version : HDRI - DOF/bokeh
Nicool 05-06-2003, 03:19 PM Hye,
Just a question or a proposition.
Can we use HRD informations to get bokeh effect in the DOF?? We know HDRI has high lighting information, why not try to combine it with the dof?:bounce:

Well first, how does one extract that "highlight" info from the hdri image within maya? Or is this something that must be done in Hdri shop?
Anyone?

I believe if you look at GIJoe from www.pixho.com, that is what he does with hdri imagery to make it work with the hdri highlight.
Because in my Hypershade, there is a surface shader with only the highlight in it, so he figured it out.
I think he explains it at his site, but if not, I'm sure he'll tell ya if you ask:)
