View Full Version : Lighting : making Max default lights cast shadow
bjparch 05-06-2003, 03:09 PM I heard that you can use the Max default lighting and have them cast shadows. Anyone know how to set this up?

Can't say that I have heard that one...
You can of course turn the default lights into standard objects which you can add the shadow property to.
This can be done by :
(copied and pasted from help file as I am too lazy to typoe it myself)
Right-click a viewport label, and click Configure.
On the Viewport Configuration dialog > Rendering Method tab, in the Rendering Options group, turn on Default Lighting and choose 2 Lights. Click OK to close the dialog.
Choose Views menu > Add Default Lights To Scene.
