I'm trying to apply a material to a log in Cinema 4D but when I do the material appears stretched in only one place. The projection is UVW. I'd really like to know how to fix this.

Here's what it looks like:

I'm hoping it's a simple fix.

It looks like a problem with your UV map. You should unwrap the model and adjust it to fix this issue, which usually happens when too little space has been assigned within your map in that area - you need to stretch/relax that part of your UV map more.
