Hi guys, im trying to rotate a planet (saturn) on an angle for an animation, im gonig crazy with this. I have the planet at say a 45 degree angle or seomthing, i want it to spin 360 at the axis it is on just like any normal planet spins, I cant get it. I have it on the local axis then grab rotate tool and spin it looks correct when i rotate it so i keyframe it then when i play the animation it is completley different and rotating wrong. Im sure i need to do something with the piviot point but i cant figure it out. Trying to read my 3ds max bible isnt working,

Thanks Nick

Parent your planet (with no rotation) under a helper. Then rotate your helper the 45 degrees. Then you can spin (or rotate the planet on its Y axis or whatever) to get it to spin locally.

Hope that helps.
