Hello,

I am following the butterfly tutorial that came with C4D 10.0 (Mac) and I have encountered
a strange problem. I turned on HyperNurbs and discovered these vampire bites out of nowhere. I reopened my last saved file and now one vertex is shooting through the lip and there is only one vampire bite. I have tried melting the points and knifing them back in, but I still have these issues. What is happening? Is this normal? Please help!

Thanks!

Ryan

You might have accidentally added point weighting to the mesh, look at the mesh for a tag that looks like a small brown version of the HyperNURBS object, this is the "HyperNURBS Weight" tag, delete this if it's there (holding down the period "." key while dragging with a selection creates this tag and adds weighting to the selected edges/points).

If it's not that then look inside the mesh to see if you have any polygons connected to those points, this "illegal" geometry can cause results like that with hypernurbs (basically when you have one edge shared by more than 2 polygons).

Thanks for the response, but I could not figure out what was wrong, so I went back a few saved versions and just continued from there and was extra careful. All is good now.

Thank you!
