Yea you can make this pic come alive more by adding some nice and thicker clouds. I love that moonlight glow and some soft clouds that are being lit by it would really make this piece.

I really like the atmosphere and some of the little details. Personally I would have use a little bit more of details for suggesting the village..and I wounder if second one a far away would be nice in the image or not....

I would love to see a little cloud addition, but not too much, I like the sense of open space the clear sky gives to the image.

well...those are my 2c....looking forward to the next step.

I agree with the above comments, this is really great, and yes you're right you should make the city bigger to make it your main focal node, no critics from me, I find everything here just great ( maybe be more detailed clouds )

Akajork: Thats something I will test out . Maybe I can use the clouds to also bring the views eye over to the town in some way.

Halford: haha I think we all make bad ones . The key is to start with thumbnail sketches I think ( thou I didnt do that with this one) also I am very lucky to have some people that I chat with on a day to day basis that give me solid and honest crits. They have been a huge part of my developement as an artist.
And I do agree about the clear sky . thou I will try out some cloud cover. But I always enjoy the night time more when there is no cloud cover and you can see the moon and stars . So I will play around a bit before I do anything final :D

jamesvfx: Hey thanks man! I am glad you like my image :D I will make the town a bit bigger and add some more detail . It doesnt read the best at the moment . A lot more light there will help I think. I couldnt find any references for the town so I ended having to paint all of it , which I dont mind at all. So I am mostly trying to suggest that its a town. you dont want to see a close up view thats for sure haha

I hope to have an update soon which will probably be the finished peice. Thanks again everyone for the crits and kind words :D
