Title: Waiting for my keys
Name: Burzin Engineer
Country: USA
Software: 3ds max, Photoshop, VRay

This image is an attempt to recreate the feel and power of the Audi R8 in 3D. Max was used for modeling and texturing, using mainly the editable poly and basic modeling tools. Some of the details in areas like the headlights and rims got quite heavy. The final scene was over 8 million polys and took 15 hours to render. We used Vray for rendering, with some post-work in Photoshop.

You work for 3dWorld? That's sweet. Also congrats elementalcrafts!

I too think it deserves to be printed in 3dWorld.

There are a lot of boring 3d car renders out there but this is by far one of the best I've ever seen.
The lighting, composition, modelling and materials are all SPOT ON! It has a lot of eye candy.
It would be good to get printed in 3dWorld because it will show everyone that cars can be done well, not over done.

Thanks for all the compliments folks! Much appreciated. Our team worked hard on it and we are very happy with the response.

Richard, thanks for the opportunity! I sent you Email.

niksoftarg, yes, the environment is all 3D. I'll post some details soon.

Hi,

What do you mean by "original modeling"? One of the Elemental Crafts team that helped on it is from Vietnam.

Thanks.
Burzin.
