Put simply, I have a model with an IK rig and it needs to be merged into another max scene. However it's a bit big for the other scene and needs to be scaled down.

The problem I'm facing is that the IK solvers/goals stay put and don't scale down when I shrink the model so it ruins my animation.

I realise that the IK solvers/goals dont actually scale up or down but is there any way to get them to move to new positions but remain relative to the new size of the model?

Many thanks to anyone who may be able to help

I realise i'm probably not being very clear

I'm trying to find out is how to scale down an animated character whilst keeping the animation the same as it was before I scaled it all down

The problem is that I have a robot i've animated using Inverse kinematics thats too big to be merged into a different scene.

When I try to scale it the ik goals stay in their original locations so when I hit the play button his arms and legs shoot out to the sides to point towards the IK goals.

1. Don't scale
2. If you really, really need to do so, link everything to a dummy and rescale the dummy.
3. Don't scale (seriously)

I am not sure if this helps but maybe, who knows
Maybe try to scale a scene and not a character, scale it so it is in appropriate size?
