This is an animation I did just for the fun of it. I found this Boris Karloff head rig on highend3d.com and I wanted to do an animation to it. So I animated it to one of my favorite parts of one of my favorite songs, Thriller by Michael Jackson. I modeled, lit, textured, animated, rendered and composited everything- except for the actual head, which I downloaded off of highend3d.com. C&C is welcome. Thanks!!

here's a playblast version, just so you can see the animation a little better.

I'd re-visit the lighting on the rendered one if I were you. The strong shadowing is hiding a great deal of the facial animation, which is a real shame.
I know you want it moody, but even a rim light picking out some detail from the side/s would help.

thanks. Yah, I was going to actually have a number of different shots, each with their own lighting, but I ran out of time and kinda just rendered it out in the end. But I do agree. The shadows are too strong. That's kinda why I uploaded the playblast version, so you could see the animation better.

like it a lot the only crit i would have would be that mybe if lit from below might be more spooky and in the final laugh sequence i thought was a shame that you pulled away so fast could have been different if you zoomed in possibly right in to seen the laughter close up

just my opinion but over all i think it brilliant

LOL, loved it, great work! Bet it took you a while to rig that puppy and sync 'em. Good job!
