There's a neat video showing the live action, 3D model and the final composition at "In the Spotlight." C4D was used with After Effects.

The 3d modell looks a bit basic don't you thing :)
But I really like what they did with it in composition

There was no software tracking (Boujou or matchmover), the camera path was done by hand. (!)
