Well It has been some time since I last worked with this model.
Back in '97 I did a 1min short called "tip toe" with this guy as the villan. I was digging around for something to do for SXSW here in Austin. And I found this old model.
I am now working on a much longer short, which is an extended version of the first flic.

I have brought the old Golem up to date, and I was looking for some feed back and Ideas to make him more fun.

It is a cartoony short which is why I went for lots of smooth surfaces. He will be made of metal and brass. And I hope to post some more updates soon.

Any and all feed back would be great! Thanx!

HAHAHAHA!!!! That is just for fun! :)

I thought it would be neat if the Golem had a kind of German flair to him.
A kind of Mad Scientist creation thing.

It is a part of "getting into the caracter" that I try and do when I build and animate. It helps me flesh out the personality of the given actor.
The audiance may never know, but it helps me in knowing how a character will react in a given scene.

From the lack of responce of my work I guess I have a LONG ways to go.

There is such a wealth of talent on this site and a huge pool of knowlage here.

In the passed few weeks I have seen some incredable work.
I, it would seem, have a ways to go before I will not get lost in the crowd and willl stand out to my peers! :)

Thank you for your coments.

So what do you feel will add to the character? More detail? Textures?

I relize that textures will go a long way.

Here is an anamatic of this model. It is just a rough bolcking of the actions so there is no performance to any of it.

I updated the Animatic a bit.

The blocking is now complete.

I would love to hear what you out there think.
I know it has a LONG ways to go.

I have now started the reworking of the Hallway set.

Some of the texures are in as well, and the Archway textures are WAY to low res. So I will be fixing them soon.
( Also I'm not sure about that floor. )

It is far from complete, but I would love some feed back on, both, the set redesign, and my animation blocking.
( The link is up above )

Thanx
