Don't blame Lucas and Spielberg. They wanted to release the films one DVD at a time leading up to the 4th film, then do a big box set of all 4 movies. Paramount wanted the box set now. Either way, someone will complain and not be happy.

Believe it or not, i already own it!! its great!!! And the best part is, you know the scene where indy is running through the streets, screaming for marianne after she gets kidnapped, and that big guy shows up with the machette? Well indiana pulls out a walkie talkie on him!!.....

"We felt that because of bandwidth issues and, more importantly, the amount of information provided on the fourth disc, it would be redundant to include a director's commentary track on the title discs," Ward said."
man oh man...what a moron..."bandwidth issues"...it's a DISC.
and no commentary...that's too bad, but I wish they would just say "speilberg didn't want to do one'...instead of this guy implying the decision not to have a directors commentary was in any way up to him....

That is a pretty silly way to put it..Spielberg never does commentary on anything of his, he even mentioned it specifically in an interview once..so that makes enough sense, but I guess it sounds nicer of them to say it differently. But that's the same kind of 'nice' wording as "formatted to fit your TV". I am a bit disappointed they aren't using the room for DTS though..I guess remixing would be too difficult as well, or something. Oh well. They better be squeezing every last bit left over into the video..I want SuperBit rates on that SOB. It's still gonna rock regardless..
November is going to be a VERY good DVD month. :D

Its really great when films like this come out in dvd format... I own the omen trilogy(4 films in facts) and instead of the haircuts and clothes, it look like a recent film...
