I am in need for some help choosing the right laptop for me.
I plan to use it for motion graphics and 3d graphics modeling and rendering for TV commercials, not gaming.

Mainly I am confused with the different graphic cards, particularly between the Quadro FX 1600 and the GeForce 8xxx 512 mb.

Basically the difference of price between a laptop with one or the other card is huge, not necessarily because of the card but because of the configuration of the laptop.

I can find an HP with a GeForce 8600M GS with 512 mb, for $1800 and the cheapest Quadro FX 1600 laptop that I can find is a Sager
for 2600 bucks.

Basically I wonder if the difference of price is worth it. There are HP with Quadro FX 1600 for 2900 bucks but that is pushing too much my budget, I will say that I am willing to go up to 2600 if I will be able to keep the same configuration for at least 3 years without compatibility issues. I kept my Apple for the same time without major problems.

As a side note, The OS have to be Vista. I don’t like it either but nothing I can do about it.

Please help, I am having a huge headache trying to find a good machine, and the money is a huge investment for me so I don't want to make a huge mistake.

Thanks for any advice.
