Hi All,

I've been working on this image for a while. I'm at a point where I would like some feedback on the composition and so forth to make it stronger. Any comments would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Joe

feels a bit too mirrored and framed. Also I miss a focal point...

Hi Tiberius I think you are right the scene looks to framed in. Initially I thought the viewer would be looking out of a cave like area, hence why I framed everything in. My focal point was the small road in the valley that should lead off into the distance... obviously that doesn't stand out enough. I think if I remove some of the elements on the right hand side and enhance the road a little more it may have better results.

Thanks for your feedback much apprecited.

Cheerio,
Joe

This would make a good background plate for a greenscreen, with your hero on horseback heading of into the sunset silhouetted by the frame you have put here. As a dynamic jaw dropping matte it isnt, but remember mattes are for film and another live element would complement this. So full marks from me.

As people have said i agree i think it is missing a focal point. What's there at the moment looks really great..and i actually like the partial framing, i think it gives some strength to the foreground. I don't know what kind of environment you're going for but if you're feeling outlandish then i think it would really benefit from some great rock structures in there in the distance, y'know some eye candy :). All the foreground rocks' converging lines are at the moment leading just to sky, but stick some monument valley style structures in there in the distance (except customise them a bit so it doesn't just look like MV)..and you're onto a winner my friend ;)
