View Full Version : Rain?
Drakeotic 05-06-2003, 04:13 AM Hello, got a question. How would I simulate rain? Im thinking an emiter and a light object, but wouldnt know where to begin, Im just now learning how to take lights in the emiter to make smoke and explosions, and also to take a light with emiter to follow a spline, but no clue where to begin with rain. If anyone can help or have sugestions. Thank you for your time.

try taking little pellety things and then put them in an emitter then do some sort of motion Blur on them and just run them in front of the camera.
however if you want mist and fog and all the good stuff that makes rain you are gonna have to do alot more than this

Thank you, I'm building a noah's ark, and it is where the boat has just been finished and the rain is starting to fall, it will be a still image and not an animation.
I have tried before with the capsule and made it blue and smaller, but in the animation i used it for when the camera moved you can clearly see that it was a a capsule, Thanks also cant wait to see when your project gets done.

i belive sadie has made a rain solution....i could be wrong...and if not then it could have been cinema 1954 ....course, i could be wrong on that too...but the two of them make groovy examples anyhow...so if they havent im sure they could...if they were so inclined.
