Title: Game a Peel, Folkert Konings
Name: Folkert Konings
Country: Netherlands
Software: CINEMA 4D, Maya

Ad # 1, I did for the GATE project (http://gate.gameresearch.nl/)
"Ralph" a medium poly realtime character modeled in both C4D and Maya with baked to texture ambient occl. No use of normal maps.

A common 3 point lighting set up was used. This render was done with raytrace scanline in Maya software renderer.

Purpose of project model : realtime model for OGRE engine based Agent Ai simulations and MoCap analysis.
The banana peel scene depicts the playful and experimental nature of the GATE project.
Done by Folkert Konings for GATE project January 2008

cool,

i noticed though that his hands look too small for his body, and it looks like he is about to stomp out the bananna peel rather than slip on it.

^agreeing with this.

Also it looks like he's wearing a brown shower cap (I'm guessing that's his hair?)

But the face and lighting is very well done, which is the hard part :)

Yeah....maybe i should have made the hair with some extra alpha planes to create some spikes here and there.

Actually, the original size of his hands was bigger, but somehow it looked a bit too clunky in viewport.

...and of course he saw the banana peel before ;)
