Hey guys! I'm using Maya 8.5 and i'm working with the strutyourreel.com "Sergio" rig. I'm using the "stepped" method of animating.

So here's the prob; When I went to spline the animation, I previewed it and there was a blimp between two keys on the hand. Instead of rotating smoothly, the hand starting twisting in the OPPOSITE direction and then snapped to the next key. I'm positive that everything is splined and there are no extra keys inbetween these 2 frames. The graph editor does not show any weird blimps inbetween these frames, SO WHAT THE HECK? Why is the hand rotating in the opposite direction? The only way I can figure out how to correct this is by going in and keying the hand frame by frame. Has anyone had this happen to them? I seem to remember something like this happening with another rig i've used (Moom v3). I think it may have happened because I started posing and keying my character while I was still in "spline" mode, then when I realized it I went back and changed everything to stepped and just continued working. I'm not sure why that would happen, but I have no idea how to fix it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thank you,
kt
