Hmm havent played the game so i cant say how good of a copy it is. But it does look well modeled. Id like to see a textured version of it. One problem area that i can see it on his (is it a he?) right arm. The wrist to hand joint looks to be bending the wrong way. Good work thoug

Ahhh ViVi is one of my fav characters of all time.
Looking good, only area looking a bit off is from the forearm to the wrist.
You gonna make the eyes glow? Great choice of character to model
EDIT: Ahh ignore my comment I saw you've yet to add the cuffs, that's what's missing :)

Nice for a 6 hour job. Im a slow modeler. How about a pic of your choice of character. i'd like to see what ViVi is suposed to look like. you know. for comparason.
I played the game too... (A lot of it by the way!) and i think you have some way to go...
First Vivi in the game is smaller and more "chubby"... The arms aren't so long and not to forget his face, wicht is a total black with only big, oval white dots, but this i think you can nail in the texturing process...
For a 6 hour job is execelent indeed...
Rush some "colors" on it...

Cool, still like vivi, he always seemed to fit the SD style of FF9 the best..looking good so far. Great for 6 hours.
I agree the hands should be more glove-like..the pants are also seeming a bit more baggy than balloony, like between the waist and knees..should puff out to fill the space under the coat more. Hard to tell from the angle, but maybe his face could be smaller and more tucked in?
Look forward to more..you going to do any of the other chars?
P.S. for those not knowing, here's the most reasonable 'actual' pic of vivi I found on a quick googling:

and here's another angle:

I played with his shape a lot more, made him shorter and pulled the pants out a bit more and made the arms shorter also...
Added the cuffs....

Yeah, his pants are WAY more balloony. They kind of flare at the feet. Looks like a great model!
i tink he's too tall and i agree with scandell, his pants should be baloony and they have too many wrinkles. besides this it's a really great model, can't wait to see it finished:thumbsup:

Why does that character remind me of Orco from the old He-man series?

Almost done...... just debating on weather to make the hands look more like gloves or just use textures to do it....
knoxville, got ride of some of the wrinkels on his pants and made him a bit shorter...
psyop63b. ya he dose have a bit of an Orco look to him=)
Thanks everyone for all the input, I try adn start texturing him soon....

Hey! Great start.
I made a Vivi model way back in the day just before the game came out.
I was still learning my 3D program at the time, but it really helped me with the learning process.
You can check it out HERE (http://users.starpower.net/kamaelec/Picture-ViviAllViews.jpg) and HERE (http://users.starpower.net/kamaelec/Picture-ViviFrontView.jpg).
Yours is looking great so far, can wait it see it finished.
Good luck on your version,

Just a texture test, just so see how the textures are going to lay down. I've only layed out the uv's for the hat and coat so it will change a lot once I start to paint in photoshop. I'll add some stanes, darker patches
