Hey,

This is my film's internet debut (some of you may remember it from the trailer I posted a while back).

After screening at international film festivals (North America, Europe, Australia, South Asia) and winning some international awards (EA Reveal 2007 Grand Prize, 2 ELAN Awards for "Best Film" and "Ready to Rocket"), I've decided to post the full film online.

Hey that turned out great! Congrats on finishing it!

My only gripe was the overuse of the "shine" effect...but that's just a minor quibble.

I enjoyed the story, and I thought the "man turning into a pile of rubble, just like all of the piles of rubble he walked past" was something I didn't expect...I thought he'd turn into a statue like the woman. Looks like you got some inspiration from the Cathedral.

Best of luck continuuing your festival run....I'm sure it will continue to do well!

Thanks everyone.

I would have to say The Cathedral was definitely an inspiration when I first started this film. I think Baginski has a great cinematic eye, and this is something I can look up to.

I really liked your opening camera shot. The creature was nice and creepy too I liked it's stiff movement. Good little story idea.

Thanks everyone.

I recently realised the Medium Quality (http://www.studioarmata.com/boruta_480x360.html) link wasn't working. Its works now =)

Cheers.

Just want to say that your work is inspiring! Loved the style, and cinematography--The viewer gets a feeling of tension right from the start--some classic camera work.
Kudos.

Definately too long. Could have easily knocked that out in 4 minutes.

I know some of it is mood building, but there was a lot of filler there.

But that's my only gripe.

The rest is spot on. Love the lighting, modelling and animation.
When the hand moved I got chills :) So freaky.

Not bad, saw it on youtube. Although the shine (glare) was a tad too much.

Congrats on getting it done

Great film! It reminded me alot of The Cathedral, and especially of Pan's Labyrinth.

I agree with what others have said:
- the volumetric light ("shine effect") is overdone,
- the dust particles floating around are too big and round so they don't look quite right,
- and there's alot of filler that could be taken out to make the film shorter and better edited

But it's done, and it looks beautiful. Just take these critiques to heart when you work on your next film. Good luck!

Peace,

- me
