Im trying to find the right adjustments of node settings.

Im trying to hide the outbounds of feather. but couldnt.

there is the color and transparency map images and sample scene following

this is simple planar surface.

is there a way to hide theunwanted area ? or my alpha image is wrong ?. or last way is to strech surface to feather map images

(I just wantto do feather texturing that dirc blanck's comic bird modeling which tutorial does not explain its feather texturing)

The light haze you have around your feather is the specular color. Either turn your spec to black, or use your Alpha.iff as your specular color as well.



(Also, don't forget to turn off the reflectivity.)

you have to map reflecivity, specular color and all other attributes that could cause illumination on the area you want to hide
