Beautimous! The architecture of the outpost really goes well with its background! It looks Like its right out of Star Wars. How detailed does it get? can you give us a close up shot? i know it might not work with the composited background, but at least to see the modelling detail. If this hasn't already been decided as the winner then it should be now, bravo.

the modeling and conceptual design are really cool but not the integration and final look , to me this image is over saturated if you would have thought about giving thise scene a cool look in color just like minority report or something like that would be really cool, the integration in some areas doesn't fit whit the plate's depth , and because it is metal and you have there a strong sunlight, most of the facility should have that red bouncing light as well as some sort of blurry reflection
the camera map is great :applause: also you think you need more reference of scale, windows or something any human can understand in order to campare whit the scale of the rocks, and the top trees you have ther are pretty dark and they are recieving the sunlight directly

I think it looks pretty darn cool! I agree abotu the over saturation of the red colors on those rock faces, the color/lighting seems a bit off from the background plate. But the modeling is sweet, I love the outpost and the camera motion is great! nice job :)
What program is this?

ahattemer: the geometry isnīt much more detailed.. iīve only modelled whats needed. if you get closer youīll see that there isnīt too much geometry left ;)
jasso: i donīt agree on the saturation. i like the satuartion how it is, and by the way: id didnīt changed the saturation at all.. it is like it was photographed. sometimes nature looks odd. ;) The dark trees and there darkness is also originally from the photograph i used.
concerning the integration, youre right.. i donīt really like it, too, and youīre right with the reference for scale. my first idea was to add a tower with a guard on it in the very front of the shot, but i have no time for this.. i have to continue with the other shots on my reel. i think the shot can stay how it is.
JasonA: Maya
Dareoner: no, all modelled by hand.
thnk you guys for your comments and crits! :bounce:

All by hand you say? How long did the modeling take? That looks fantastic, though I have to agree with Jason A; the background color seems slightly off.
Still, it's an inspiration to us all! Good work.
