Hello Everyone,

I've looked into this for a bit and have come out with no success. My challenge ..or question is..... Are there any plugins or methods to simulate the tearing/ripping of cloth in a realistic fashion...or ..going as far an ripping a finger from a hand in slow motion and have the skin stretch and rip naturally.

I don't believe Sim CLoth can produce such an effect.......any clues ???

Thanks!

Presently, the only way I do tearing of objects is through morph targets. You just need to set it up so it looks good, which can be very time consuming.

I know you can tear up cloth with Clothreyes. I don't know if it's a commercial plug or not (used to be) but if i'm correct it's for free nowadays. (Sorry, it's free for the oldschool max v.3 users.)Take a look around here (http://www.reyes-infografica.net/cloth.php)
