I'm wanted to know if there is a way to have Max's PArray move peices of an object at different times?
I trying to animate an object spattering but having the pieces fly off at different times kind of like
as a shockwave moves through the surface. If Parray won't do that for me, could you tell me what will.

Also posted this in the Max forum wasn't sure which was better so did both.

Thanks

Have you checked out Particle Flow yet? PFlow, from what little I've played with, seems miles beyond what you can do with the older particle tools like PArray, and I'd be surprised if it couldn't suit your needs.

Particle Flow is indeed way way beyond what the older legacy particle systems offered. It takes a little more learning, but once you are up to speed you'll have a procedurally controlled, production level particle system at your finger tips.

We have an entire series devoted to teaching PFlow, and you can either buy it as a boxed set (10% off) or any of its constituent DVDs.

We also have a Particle Flow scripting DVD in the works, which allows you to take your PFlow systems to a whole extra level of flexibility.

Cheers
