What city are you in? Have you checked out any of the local vfx studios? There is a fair bit of 3D done here, even some film work, if you know where to look ;) There are a few good ones :) Especially in Cape Town and Joburg.
PM if you want any "insider info" on any of them ;)
However, most of it is fairly dull stuff, I must admit. Commercials and broadcast branding - yuck.

Hmmm... Joburg, eh?
Don't bother going to employment agencies, the industry is still too new here in South Africa. Apart from the fact that most studios do not actively advertise that they are hiring - they rather do scouting.
Well, try dropping some of these guys a line:
Sphere Animation (http://www.sphere-animation.com/animation.html) (Animation company somewhere in Gauteng)
The Refinery (http://www.refinery.co.za/) (Post production company, they have a branch in Gauteng, I think)
Videolab (http://www.videolab.co.za/) (Also a post prod facility in Joburg)
I Imagine (http://www.i-imagine.com) (Game company in Gauteng)
Delapse (http://www.delapse.co.za/) (Post prod and animation company in Joburg)
Clearwater (http://www.clearwater.co.za/) (They do broadcast design, also in Joburg I think)
9 Degrees East (http://www.ninedegrees.com/) (Animation company in Joburg)
Those are all the ones that I can think of right now. I must admit I don't know many people in the Joburg area personally (Being a Capetonian myself, and also because I don't really work much with the local guys anymore), but give these guys a call anyway.
I checked out your site - your work should be good enough to apply for a position as a junior artist at an animation company. The reason that I say you should be fine as a junior artist is because you don't seem to have any previous production experience, and because your work isn't really specialised :)
You seem to have a good deal of potential - good luck
