View Full Version : red rectangles on ground?

when I bring in a character like 'Roger' from the MotionBuilder Clip Art folder (downloaded from 3d buzz) there are red rectangles along side him...

they appear to be foot controls/floor contacts for the character but why are they to the side? and how are they different than effectors for the control rig?

If I understand correctly, and they are really Floor Contacts - then they function in the following way:
-they prevent the foot go under the floor, they just stop the FootEffector from going down along Y-axis below the floor
-you can move them to adjust to the size of the Character's foot with simple arrows
-you can disable floor contacts in Character Settings window, under menu item Floor Contacts.
