So forgive me but i start a new thread just to show you the last update.

Damn... Nice render!
Looks like thoes "spectres" enemies found on the game Metroid Prime for the gamecube console...
Nice shader as well man... Maya render tree here perhaps?
Can you give us dome info about this shader/render output?

This one is made in lightwave not in maya...(sorry) :)
The shader is basically a glass shader with some refraction (no reflections). It's quite simple but lightwave's rendered is really nifty...

really nice so far, only thing i dont like, is the feet. looks too 'generic' kinda devil ish looking. but eh the rest is nice :)

there is some jagged / aliased edges u should revise..
very cool model... whats the polycount (if its a polygon) ?
u could use some red/yellow in the details for a knock-out effect,
stick to blue in the main body.

This one is made out of lightwave's subpatches. There is 5880 subpatches, after conversion it gives me 52920 polys for a pretty dense wire... :)
I agree for the textures but i wait for him to be completely finished before starting the texture tweaking. For the moment the texture is temporary and might change by the end, anyway, thank you for the idea !

very cool man, keep going.:thumbsup: You should tweak the tail, looks a little simple now, and I also don't like the feet.
Though I think it's cool this way, i think a little red and/or yellow can make the finishing touch. In the nails maybe.

Ok, after some last tweaking here and there i finally started the texture work.
As he shall finally be an Ice elemental and not an air one, i've worked on the shader to achieve something more "icy".
After a bit of adjustment in photoshop, here is my first result.
