I tried posting this in the 3D max area as that is the program I am using for animation. Figured I would give it a go here.

First Post:

System Units are 1 unit = 1 foot.
Max 2008

I have set up a simple rig using bones and HI-IK solvers for a character that is about 5 foot 8 inches tall. When I move a solver from one point to the other the whole IK chain jitters into position form the start frame to the end frame. Is there a problem with having a rig this small? How can I fix this?

Second Post:

I am still having problems animating this rig with that system unit setup. It only seems to be confined to the leg. When I move the leg it jitters to the area I move it to.

The leg is setup with 5 bones: upper, lower, ankle, foot, toe_tip.

I am using a hi-ik solver from the upper bone to the ankle bone. then another hi-ik solver from the ankle to the foot. then from the foot to the toe_tip. The ankle IK chain is parented to the foot chain which is parented to the toe tip chain. The toe tip chain moves the whole foot.

Is this a bad setup? Could that be causing my jitter problems?
