Hi

Wasnt sure if i could post this here, i tried posting in the Fume FX forum but could not start a new thread in there for some reason.

I have a client who is looking for an ink in water effect that forms into a shape (human running), I was talking to a collegue of mine who reccomended fume FX, I believe it was used on a Robinsons drink commercial (UK) a few years ago that had characters formed out of the drink.

Has anyone tried anything like this before with Fume FX or any other way, such as Realflow, or Pflow,

When I say dropping into water, I dont mean that you see the water itself, its just the way ink reacts when mixing with water, that whispery type effect that happens like this

Any suggestions would be great.

Kind Regards
Mark

Pretty sure that Robinson commercial was done usin Maya fluid dynamics.
I would suggest that or either RealFlow.
Perhaps u can use PFlow n play with a lot of torbulent winds n so on and render it using Krakatoa.

Guess theres plenty of ways to go about it, although a fluid sim would bring u the best results.
