ok let's start: this is about 1 hour of modelling (a few pieces of the wraithguard were recycled :p )
so on this is 1200 but my target is around 3k...
i'm trying to exaggerate a little the proportions to see how it would turn out!
as always c&c welcome!
that damn kid

yeah ninja!
40k... and so far i made three models of the eldar... (but i'm NOT a fan of eldar... or... well... maybe i'm becoming one?)
hehe
here is the wip!
i'm quite satisfied with the model...
4 hours model and physique
hope you like it!

thanks!
yep i'm going to look for another colour scheme. The classic one of WH40k (green and white) didn't get much success in the comp so i'm going to look for something cooler.
any suggestion (again)?
Ninja: when i went to london i saw warhammer is pretty popular there isn't it?
i'd really like a videogame like World of Warcraft with a Warhammer fantasy setting :)
cya!
this is so cool :D.
i've been thinking to model Eldars for some time now, but i never came around to start.. this is very cool indeed :D

yeah! and man, a game like WCIII in the WH40K universe, that would rock!
Your model is pretty good, Eldars rule..I'd like to see him with a more eldar-looking weapon.. like a distorsion cannon.
If you're going for more polies, add soul-stones!

i think climax in nottingham, uk are doing something with warhammer! i spotted a few things in the job's section a couple of months back wanting people who like warhammer kind of stuff...... could be wrong? (http://www.climax.co.uk/html/nottinghamjobs.htm#job07)

haha, awesome. my first model i ever made was one of these, in 3ds R4. God that program ruled, it was so cute. your model is significantly better than mine was. i wish I had a picture to show you to compare. It was the first year I ever did 3d stuff and the task was way beyond me, hehe. This brings back great memories :D BooRadley on this forum would remember that model, we shared classes. Ohhh how time passes. I love your model, you did a great job. I would love to be able to accomplish that but I am a little behind your abilities it would seem. This is really long and apparently about me so far, so I should end it :D Ahh great job. Get some texture action :applause:

oh, on the color scheme topic. I bet you could find some reallllyyyy uber color schemes done by people like us on real models all over the net. Worth a try? Collectors always put their paint jobs online. Hopefully this hasnt been mentioned already, hehe. Good luck :D

Wow :surprised
i didn't expect such a response!
Aerestis: Thanks 4 the support! :D Actually I'm not that good at texturing but I'll give a try. I have plenty of images from the net and still i like most the classical mimetic-green-white... we'll see if i am good enough to convey it better than before on photoshop!
Ninja: Thanks so much for the link! Have you tried to apply there? How old is the announcement?
m@: the idea was to reproduce an eldar chaingun (see pic) but it took 2 many polys... and this - to my opinion - looks cooler!
Anyway i'm going to make some more for sure! ;)
:wip: wip report: i'm finishing the uv mapping (ghaaaaa i should study too!)

how many poly did it end up to be?
(it would make a sweet Heavy Armor replacement for Natural-Selection.. but it's half life, and you gotta have it under 2,000 poly for it to be worth it... )
